We all have experienced the emotional response that theatre, music, literature, dance and the visual arts are capable of evoking within each of us. We know what moves us.

The arts impact us in many other ways. The arts influence the cultural, civic and economic fabric of our communities. The arts enhance our children's education and therefore their futures. The arts celebrate diversity, provide us common ground and foster mutual understanding in an increasingly multicultural society.

Your membership in The Arts Council of Henderson County enables us to be the leading advocate and promoter of the arts. Your support helps the arts make our community a better environment in which to live, retire, visit, and raise a family.

Your support helps The Arts Council of Henderson County:

• Augment state and county funding to assist more arts organizations, artists, children, and teachers.
• Continue presenting free exhibitions and festivals such as Mentors and Students, Bring Us Your Best, and the Art on Main Fine Art / Fine Craft Festival.
• Develop new opportunities for artists, arts organizations, and audiences.
• Increase our advocacy of the importance of the arts to Henderson County – culturally, educationally and economically – to local, regional and national government agencies, foundations and the corporate community.
